The Indianapolis Ski Club is a not-for-profit Corporation founded in 1958 by a small group of enthusiasts for the purpose of promoting interest and activity in snow skiing, and to provide ski trips to local, national and international areas.
We are based in Indianapolis, Indiana and our mission has remained largely unchanged throughout the years, although the mission has expanded to include additional social activities in addition to winter sports. The Club has always promoted fellowship among a variety of interest groups. Trips are for members only and we often have members join from other states. Its easy to join, and the Club always welcomes new members.
Today the club has approximately 200 members and averages 6 travel trips per year along with periodic social activities. The trips offered include a wide variety of locations including day trips to Perfect North and regular Western, Canadian, and European Trips.
The Club is managed solely by volunteers and there is a Board of Directors along with many working committees who oversee the Club operations. The Board meets approximately six times per year and Board meetings are open to all members who are interested. The Club newsletter, the “Schussboomer”, along with this website, and emails are our primary means of communication.
